so are you proud of doing it? |
im not proud but i will admit i do it.
there's better ways to control piracy than become incredibly controlling of your user rights. Sony has a bad history with that sort of thing. (remember the CD's that installed rootware?).
Make good games, have reasonable prices, and you'll have good sales. The people who STILL pirate will find a way, and rationalize their actions, no matter what you do.
Crusty VGchartz old timer who sporadically returns & posts. Let's debate nebulous shit and expand our perpectives. Or whatever.
And by the way, I don't pirate, but if I did, and if I liked GT, I'd sure as hell pirate GT5:P. What a waste of money; Sony's getting greedy. Anyone who wants to pirate that game, I encourage them to. the less people who buy a half-baked demo for $40, the better for the future of the industry, IMO.

^ so your saying that games should be cheaper?
if thats what ur saying, then yess i think it will have good software sales, and have less pirating ()if thats a word).

That makes you loose all credibility. "half-baked demo" would mean its half of a demo(like it would stop before you even finish a lap around the track).... but its more than a full game.... WTF!

yea gt5p really isnt a demo. it has the same amount of cars as burnout.
| CaptainPrefrences said: yea i know what ur saying. they have a right to but its also sonys fault for allowing "people like me" to copy games. infact when i buy a new psp i will download games illegally. im not forking out 70 bucks on a game. and many other people think the same way. |
Will people like you whine and cry when Sony frys your PS3 with a anti piracy firmware ?
I disagree, piracy for me is more like rental
I don't have much money, so i download games that i might buy, i own original versions of about 20 ps2 games 15 of which i downloaded first (I probably have downloaded about 50 games in total)
If a dev does something worth buying i'm more than happy to spend my somewhat rare money
However, I really hate to give 60 euros (fucking expensive europe) which is about 90$ for an overhyped game that turns out to be crap
Developers, do something worth my time, and you'll get my money, otherwise make way for more talented people
Listen to the voice of reason, then do as I say.

but you don't pay for the time you use it and you have it for as long as you want.... OH THAT MAKES SENSE!!!
