Hatsune Miku: VR Future Live coming west on October 14

Play it at Gamescom 2016 this week.

Hatsune Miku: VR Future Live is coming to PlayStation VR via the PlayStation Store in North America and Europe on October 14, Sega announced. Pricing will be announced at a later date.

Here’s the overview, via Sega:

Exclusive to PlayStation VR, the Hatsune Miku: VR Future Live bridges the gap between the physical world we live in and the digital world of Hatsune Miku in a completely immersive way. Leave the living room behind (figuratively speaking), as it transports players to a virtual stadium, fully immersing them in the crowd of Miku fans and going wild for the digital singer. As the lights dim and Miku gets ready to take the stage, the player’s controller transforms into a glow stick. When the show begins, players can keep time with the song by taking cues from the rest of the crowd waving their glow sticks, with the goal of cheering on Miku during the concert. As players encourage her, it builds up the voltage. Once the voltage reaches its climax, players will find themselves transported on stage for a special one-on-one encore performance with Miku!

If you’re at Gamescom this week, a demo of the game is playable at the PlayStation Booth in Hall 7.1.
Personal Note: I'm a Hatsune Miku fan.  But as much as I think this is a novel idea, I don't see myself investing in VR for it.  I'd like to experience it though.  Anyone wants to buy me a PlayStation VR set for my next birthday?  Please?

Megaton!! This will be popular for the japanese anyway

As awesome as this is why does it exist?? Like why is this a game?? VR concerts/events are the future of VR imo but this seems like an odd in between.

New form of entertainment maybe? If you can buy/rent live concerts and music videos, why not "interactive" music events?  Just a thought.

Sounds interesting?
