It's more of how the news is reported. I see nothing wrong with how the referenced article in the OP is reported. It's "just" a priest has been murdered by two armed men after they took a bunch of people hostage. There's no assumptions being made. There's no all caps sensationalism.

Le Parisien reports that the attack has been claimed by isis. And as usual on vgchartz, a certain islamist apologist feels offended that someone had the nerve to post the news.

As far as I know, no Eastern European nation partakes in NATO actions in the middle east (which is smart).

but at least for Germany it's rather not a big issue in comparision to France and Belgium. So far, Germany had only minor attacks with no deaths except that one in 2011 and that one in munich 1972.

It's obviously more likely to die in an accident.

Actually, it's not even worth mentioning, but the media makes a huge deal of it.

The only terror which is being done in the countries is not by the terrorists, but by the media itself.

According to the list, there were just as many terrorist incidents in 2016 as in the last 40 years in Germany. Terrorism is terrorism, just because someone did not manage to kill anyone does not make it less severe. What if that guy in Ansbach was successful and managed to kill dozens of people, is it now worth mentioning because there is a body count?

I'm not trying to be abrasive or suggest everyone should hide in a bunker in fear of a terrorist attack but we shouldn't internalize these things as normal.

No I disagree, Clickbait articles are the ones like 'Muslim men beat his wife she passed away in the hospital'. Most media would not state the muslim part if it has nothing to do with religion. While sites that live from clicks will put the muslim part in it.  In Belgium atleast this news about France would always be covered in the media especially taking hostages and killing one of them + police shooting someone dead is very rare. In France on a yearly basis their are normally 10-15 criminals killed by the police and almost every one of them would be news. This is not just police killing some criminals.

People always  use religion and race to get extra clicks. It always makes it easier for people to go ahead and make blind assumptions on an event.
