Starbound has finally reached it's 1.0 stage and is releasing July 22nd (Today in the EU/Asia timezone).
It's been 3 long years since playing the game in it;s early acccess stage, I had some good fun here and there and decided to leave it until it;s completion which I am pretty excited to jump back into. THe amount of content the devs have thrown in since 2013 has risen over the years and only served to excite me right up to it's complete release.
I'll be making a thread about Starbound detailing what you can do, what the game has to offer as well as handing out 4 copies to those who throw in their say. I handed out some copies when Stardew Valley came out, I feel doing the same for Starbound will both give back to the devs as well as give some a free take on the game itself.
I'm just happy the game is finally completed and that I can finally get around to playing the whole thing. The devs have made it so you can play with friends via server ip, your own private server or via your friends list on Steam. You can drop in and out of cop-op with multiple friends at any time and even take on the story together as a group or by yourself or even just go around doing whatever you want.

I should also mention that the game at some point will be landing on consoles, though I don't know or see the estimated time it will land but it could be next year if not the year after. The Wiki also lends to it possibly appearing on the Vita as well as last gen systems.
Another important note is that the devs have stated that the price of the game will not change from it's release state, meaning the price will remain as it currently is (£11.99 if you live in the UK).
Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.
