I would like to see Sony make more of an effort to create more family friendly experiences. M rated is good and all, but I turn to Nintendo for the family/couch multiplayer and party stuff.

Yes for me most of their marketing and games started to be focused mainly for teenagers since ps2, wich is the worse you can do for me, I rather watch a kids or a family movie rather than a teenage one, even more with videogames. And btw half of the games you are using as exemple are pretty bad and had pretty lame stories for the easily impresionable that doesnt know much about cinema like the teenagers, even when the story is the main and sometimes only focus of the game, wich goes to my point about too much focus on cinematic experiences. The other ones... well I admit The last of Us is overall pretty mature, Bloodborne mostly too I guess, there are exceptions everywhere though. |
You'd rather watch Cars, Lion King, Frozen, ect. over Donnie Darko, Superbad, Dead Poets Society, Neighors, 21 Jumpstreet, Scott Pilgrim v. the world, Juno, Perks of Being a Wallflower, boyhood, Zombieland ect.?... You are easily impressionable. lol.

Can't really think of one. There's some little things that bother me but nothing major.
Their movie division, I guess.

Yeah this is a big issue for me too. What were they thinking?
OT: The Home Menu on the PS4 isn't really that intuitive. I like to just jump into my game or app as quickly as possible, while to get to Funimation or any PS4 game in my backlog I have to scroll across several apps I never intend to use. There's probably a way to streamline it...but if there is, it's honestly not as intuitive as my other gaming devices.
PS+ is a poor value for me personally. If I didn't need it to play online I would cancel my sub right meow.
Sony's treatment of the Vita kept me from ever purchasing one.
That's all I can think of.

Not really, I rather watch Spirited Away than Transformers.

Most people in America that watch anime are Adults or Teenagers (The demographics look nothing like Nintendo's). It's not like Transformers doesn't appeal to children (or isn't based of Children cartoons). I wonder which film sold more action figures? I personally don't think all Nintendo games are for kids (Metroid, Advance Wars, ect.), but the narratives are never big factor to the game if they are. I don't like TLOU or a lot of Sony 1st party games, but it's not like I think the narratives are garbage to the point I have to make fun of them, so I think you're exaggerating personally.

Why did you mention 2 of the worst Disney movies? No one likes cars or frozen
The lion king, Mulan, The Jungle book(live action and animation), tarzan, toy Story, and many other movies are all for children.
