Forums - Sony - In case anybody missed. God of War e3 2016 is a SEQUEL and not a reboot.

I love how they said a big part of Kratos's character in this game is that he's trying to control his anger after having his vengeance in God of War 3 and the subsequent complete destruction of basically all of Greek Mythology.

Obviously he'll still have his angry rage moments though since he's Kratos and it even showed his Spartan Rage in the demo, but it won't be him constantly just being angry the whole game like the others were anymore at least and he'll actually show some other emotion and be a more diverse character.

The only God of War game I played was God of War 3 Remastered and I feel like the cutscene at the end of the this demo alone had more diversity in Kratos's character than all of God of War 3.

Yeah, so why the hell didn't they call it God of War 4?

Because while its not a reboot, its also not related to God of Wars lore from Greece perhaps?

Yeah, they changed the logo that's associated to gow Greek story too. Pretty much a continuation with a fresh slate

Anger is a motive. Anger is an emotion. Anger evokes empathy. GoW3 kratos cranks that EMOTION up to an 11. This trailer doesn't even come close to the game. I'll never understand people like you

What's your pont?

I realize a mistake in my last sentence though. I'm not trying to say God of War 3 had no emotion at all, it did. But it was mainly just Kratos being angry all the time. I meant that this demo alone had more diversity in Kratos's character than I had seen in the entirety of God of War 3.

I haven't played any of these games yet. After I'm done with FFX I think I'll start God of War HD on PS now and see how I like it.

Wait... did they actually say the boy was his?

Well, it was pretty clear that it was a sequel.

But Im really interested in this game.It seems it will be a less linear than the other games, maybe even be a bit of open-worldy(in the veins of Tomb Raider), and the combat seems more interesting for me.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

Yes, while Kratos is fighting the troll, the boy screams "father".
