The problem that I see is that they still belive that the only reason they are loosing is because of the power gap. But thats not entirely the case. While having the most powerfull console helps, most gamers dont care, they cant eve see a diference between them. The most important thing is the games and MS has shown that they are not willing to push as hard as sony with the games. Sad end of gen with the 360, and an early load shot with the 360. With the only diversity from the same old same old xbox exclusive being bought third partys.
Games going to pc might not be a problem, cuz I belive PC gamers would not really be interested in consoles to begin with. So not really a threat.
The consumers are getting older and more informed with the internet. So they can easyly know wich console has more games and more variation. If power was the real issue, then most gamers would game on pc and we know thats the lowest install base.
It takes genuine talent to see greatness in yourself despite your absence of genuine talent.
