Forums - PC - Intel or AMD?

So I'm building a PC and I have to decide if I want an AMD processor or an Intel processor.

I will probably have a dual core (no need for quad) at around 2.6GHz+.
I have always been an AMD supporter but  I was wondering what you guys thought.
What do you guys use?

I use AMD and I personally think its better than Intel.

Intel, AMD used to be better in my opinion but Intel passed them awhile ago.

I personally have an AMD Quad core but i believe Intel's are a bit better... But whatever, AMD is still good!

That's Turion processor way outdated, I'd buy a Athlon 64 X2.

Tests showed that AMD was better last generation(end of dual core) but Intel is now better this generation(quad core). I am looking for people's opinions though.
