IF some PS4 games indeed don't run on the Neo at all then Sony should be ashamed of themselves, that'd be the stupidest thing a platform holder would have ever done.

I hope your right otherwise this is a huge mistake.

as i suspected, if this turned out to be true..i would say that this PS4.5 is being made for the Home Theatre market.
just like the PS3 last cycle was sold in places like Home Depot!
for Home theatre Setups.

Sony like it did with the PSX in asia & Japan has made a direct point to put forth an effort to also sell their living room playstations in the Home Theatre market also...
why not the PS4 also?

There will eventually be neo exclusives that dont play on a regalar PS4.

Potentially, it wouldn't surprise me if both sony and microsoft move over to a generational concept similair to say... how an Ipad works.

Release a console, support it for 6 years but 3 years into it's lifespan release the next generation. So buying a console as soon as it's launched you're guaranteed 6 years of support but a newer/more powerful version will come 3 years after. That's how I'd like to see it go anyway.

Maybe we will see a "PlayStation 5" but I wouldn't mind moving over to incremental updates that act like leapfrog. All currently supported devices running the same OS and recieving the same games, like IOS devices.

if you mean, future PS5 games may play on Neo, but not on vanilla PS4, I agree it could be the possible someday.

Normal PS4 games playing on Neo but not on vanilla, just no. And there's 0 indications that it may ever happen.

I think its quite clear what I meant.  We disagree, great... doesnt mean I will change my opinion.

sure, everyone is allowed to speculate, I just wanted to make clear that there are no current facts (that i'm aware of) to back that opinion
