As for the parents, they should be investigated but only investigated to see if there's a broader neglect to the children there, otherwise people need to give it a break with putting them on trial. My parents loved me growing up, but were they watching me every second of my childhood? Hell no, no parent can, and I got into plenty of trouble now and again and certain situations looking back on it could have been dangerous. I'm pretty sure most kids would say that. |
The parents need stricter punishment so that such neglect doesn't happen again that leads to the killing of an animal. Also crowd control needs to be a thing, the whole crowd shouting at the gorilla did it no favours and probably made it angry.
