I've seen other people saying similar things as well recently, and I agree that it's such a bizzare line of thinking. It seems that some people feel like Nintendo is just all of a sudden, out of the blue, abandoning the Wii U and betraying the Nintendo fans who bought it. That is simply not what's happening. Nintendo did not kill the Wii U, the marketplace did 3 years ago. It seems that some Nintendo fans either don't want to acknowledge this reality or are simply ignorant to what's really going on. It's actually quite amazing Nintendo stuck with it for as long as they did.

IIRC Australia shares a region with Europe anyway so if people don't want to pay Australian prices they don't have to.

Besides I expect Australia probably charges taxes on imports, that's a much better and more effective way to protect the local economy than region locking.

i own a pc,ps4 and wii u. if there's nothing on the wii u i play my pc or my ps4, but i don't cry about it.

Nintendo failed at marketing the hardware.

Nintendo failed to support the hardware with enough games.

Nintendo announced new replacement hardware.

Nintendo DID kill the Wii U.

Those are all points. But people are making the argument that Nintendo 'killed' the Wii U by announcing NX launch in March 2017 when in reality Wii U has been long dead.

Yes, the Wii U is dead, and it's all Nintendo's mistakes that killed it. You can't blame it on anyone else.
