"emotional journey"? ... Are you kidding me?
Spoilers man.At least warn people in the title.
My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

Man graphics + gameplay was amazing. I agree the story was not the strongest but the narrative wasn't badly executed, there was just not much of it in the game. I think the characters and the VO delivery was actually really good.
Not entirely related but this guys reaction is worth watching!:

Contemplating on picking this up, but I can wait and see that hopefully Sony will re-release this game bundled with the movie on Blu-ray.
I loved the game.
I dont consider myself a fan of the genre but i enjoyed A LOT this game.
It is funny, it is fresh, the controls are super tight, the graphics are gorgeous.
I dont know man...in my opinion the game doesnt have too many complains from me. This was my first Ratchet game and i really loved it.
| spemanig said: "Why is it that the movie ends up giving Ratchet less emotional range than the original game?" Because Ratchet was an unlikable ass in the original game and nobody liked that. It's literally one of the most complained about aspects of that game. It was an unwanted leftover of the 90s edge trope that was dropped in every sequel that followed. |
Yep, I've heard this multiple times. Ratchet was a complete dick to Clank, and that's been changed.
I've read the film novelization. The lack of story behind the game is purely a game choice, trust me on that. In the film Qwark is never a bad guy, he's tricked into siding with them because he's an idiot, for example. Most of the new characters are fleshed out, there's a hint at Clank's backstory, and so on.
The game seems to have been held back in the plot department because of the film, nothing more. The film is supplementary material to the game, required s bit for the plot to start coming together in any meaningful way. Otherwise things just happen.
You should check out my YouTube channel, The Golden Bolt! I review all types of video games, both classic and modern, and I also give short flyover reviews of the free games each month on PlayStation Plus to tell you if they're worth downloading. After all, the games may be free, but your time is valuable!
Thank you for the info. I wasn't too keen on playing the game, but now I know I won't be getting it!
