No no no that is not what I am saying. Lets use Uncharted 4 as an example comes out soon. For some reason lets assume it runs at 30fps at the current gfx level. If they go to make Uncharted 5 and utilise the PS4K and it happens to run at 60fps. I would expect that the PS4 version run at 30fps but look just as good as Uncharted 4. Imagine if they decided oh lets make it run at 60fps but make the game look half as good as Uncharted 4 on the PS4 to compensate. People would feel cheated that because the PS4K is out devs are choosing to waterdown PS4 games compared to the ones we currently seen released in the past. |
Fair point but that's not what I mean. I don't necessarily think of better performance as an upgrade from 30 to 60 fps. I'm thinking more of games that currently struggle to reach 1080p and stable 30 fps with drops. With slight graphical downgrades they could run at a perfectly stable 1080p30. A game which barely runs on 30fps to get to 60fps would be too much of a graphical downgrade. 60fps upgrade would be for those games that already run at 45-50fps but are capped to 30.
