It was like 88-89, my mother got a PC with some games on it that i don't even remember the names of. Then i played Super Mario Bros at a friend's house and after that started saving up for my own console, first a Game Boy then my mother bought me a NES after getting a massive tax-return

Good question...maybe Kings Quest IV or Vette! on PC then Mario on NES. Have very fond memories of Mario 3 and recreating the airships with my construx (http://construxion.tripod.com/ for some examples of construx).
