Forums - Gaming - Q1/Q2 2017 could be already amazing

Predictionz:

-Mass Effect Andromeda, February 2017

-God of War 4 likely a March release like always, March 2017

-Scalebound, April 2017, same timeslot as Quantum Break

Add in games that can't make 2016 and unannounced games still to come, it's already looking great.

Other game predictions:

-Digimon World Next Order for PS4/Vita, February 2017

-Gravity Rush 2, February 2017 in EU/US but Japan release will make it this year

-Bonus: Red Dead Redemption 2, May 2017

So it's just a prediction thread? I had hoped for some factual Q1/Q2 games that would make it amazing!

As for the ones you've listed:

· Mass Effect: Andromeda. Meh. A prequel that will have little to do with Mass Effect outside its lore. Should have done something different.

· God of War 4. Meh. If they go for a different setting, why not create a new IP altogether? If it is Kratos going at different Gods, why? How?

· Scalebound. I do love Platinum Games' games (huh), though I'm not sure if they'll be able to properly handle the scale (huh) on this one.

I have no strong feelings one way or the other with Digimon, and Gravity Rush. A new Red Dead game would be desirable, but I'd prefer for a spiritual sequel rather than a direct one.

pLease FIX TITLE!

Pocky Lover Boy!

Are you hoping Mass Effect gets delayed or? Its due holiday 2016.

Oh my bad, somehow missed that :(

Was my most anticipated game of the year next to FFXV. Hopefully E3 suprises because I'm starting to forget why I was excited for fall/holiday 2016.

Not without a stronger ps4

Tbh I never expected Mass Effect this year, ME2 and ME3 were both Q1 titles. This year still has most amazing games tho: FFXV, Persona 5, The Last Guardian, Horizon Zero Dawn, GT Sport, Tomorrows Children, Battlefield 5, Titanfall 2, Deus Ex etc

And then Japanese games like Nioh, maybe Nier Automata. Also tons of awesome looking indies coming out like NMS, Yooka Laylee.

Apart from Red Dead 3 the rest is little to get excited about unless a Japanese girl into sci fi and anime, then u might get wet.

I dont see how Mass Effect Andromeda can be bad by your reasoning.People like, myself included, to try new things and new storys in the same established franchise(By that I mean using the estabilished lore and/or the same tone that the overall franchise has).I mean, if thats true, then Square should stop making Final Fantasy titles, since they all are pretty different from each other.I see nothing bad with it.

Dont have strong feeling towards God of War 4, but again, could be interesting with a new mythology.I can agree that it could be more interesting with a new lead, and that the game has connections with the first trilogy, but not deep enough that newcomers cant play it without playing the others.

To the OP at hand, taking out a title or two, its all speculation. So for me, 2017 still dosent look that good, not until get solid release dates/windows.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.
