Forums - Gaming - So how do we feel about Doom 2016's multiplayer?

I didn't have the time to play the beta but in the alpha the rocket launcher was a 2-hit kill weapon minimum and the "skilled" players never picked it for their loadout. The shotgun could only instakill when hitting the head with (nearly?) all shrapnel, which wasn't that easy to do in an outright duel but this was the to-go weapon. It's similar to the Gnasher in Gears 3, actually weaker but with more aim-assist (on consoles).

And you needed some sort of map control to contest the power-ups and the power weapon of the map.

If they really changed that much then I'd be hugely disappointed since the alpha was a ton of fun.

Doom just needs a really strong single player focus.
Its always been about its story mode, its multiplayer has always been pretty bad (if im being honest).
