Forums - Microsoft - Fallout 3 Has Over 200 Endings!

NintendoMan said:
200 endings probably about 3 or 4 that are really different. Still nice to see they're putting lots of effort into, Fallout fans deserve it.

This is what I think will happen. The endings of the previous Fallout games had long epilogues of what happened to every single community afterwards, and you could argue that it had hundreds, if not thousands, of endings. That would be pretty absurd, but I imagine this guy's statement is somewhat similar in nature.

I sort of consider myself lucky to have never had the chance to play the original fallout (1 or 2).. this game will be a whole new experience for me!!

Woot Woot!! I'm pretty excited!

Although my expectations keep rising everytime I hear news and I'll have to google "bad & Fallout" a week before the game is released to lower my expectations (it sort of works :) )

You're lucky because then you won't be in the "Goddamn you Bethesda, you fucked up my favorite RPG series of all time" camp.

Expect Naz and myself to storm Bethesda HQ sometime in November.

200 ending? I'm all for replay value, but 200 ending is just crazy.

On another note, how awesome do you think the manual will be. The fallout instruction manual definately amused me.

Manuals for the older computer games used to be a great experiance, like Fallout. Now of days the box and manuals are lackluster.

Sigh. I remember back in the day when reading the manuals to the new computer games I bought was one of the highlights of the game for me. Oh well, I not like the manuals and Boxes are the most important part of the game, but I wish they would receive the attention they deserve.

I loved the old video game manuals.  Baldur's Gate, Baldur's Gate 2, Fallout 2 (IIRC), Arcanum...etc, those manuals were great.  I remember opening up BG2 for the first and finding a gigantic spiral-bound manual.  The thing was thicker than most paperback books and had quotes from Volo and Elminster all-throughout it.

I will. Right now I'm browsing through selections of pitchfork & torch combos online.

One has to prepare for these sorts of things in advance.

As long as you make sure to bring a holocaust cloak and a towel, you'll be fine.

Still, it's good to see a few people remember the original Fallout games and their awesomeness.
