Who told you that?  A cinema /room view could work but no trying to make VR work in games is complicated, every small update a game gets need people to make it work with vr again. 

Sony said it. Every game is playable through the headset in cinema mode. Basically acts as a remote play device so no need to fight over the TV. It's not the VR experience but it definitely makes it more useful than only being able to play purpose built games.

Dont be surprised if they have to adjust that number up in the long run, remember that Sony has been very cautious with their predictions this gen, but at the same time they have surpassed every single one of them (Playstation Division).

Yup, because PS4 has totally no competition from Nintendo NX, the upgradeable Xbox One, PC gaming, mobile gaming and stream game services.

Also there is a endless supply of new customers that want to buy one. I think 2.5 years with 3 holiday seasons is enough for last-gen people to switch.

Only time will tell.

That's good to hear. I do think it's important that it isn't Sony saying that they'll sell 8 million PSVR headsets by october 2018, but an analyst.
