Demand for PlayStation VR’s has caused a major resale value on Ebay. Although they can still be pre-ordered in the UK, they are out of stock on Amazon France, Germany, Spain, and Italy which could cause other countries to import stock if there are any stock shortages.

The other reason for the big re-sale value is there are not many stores who can confirm release date delivery anymore, this Ebay user can which could be why people are buying it for the inflated price. As you can see in this picture below, one PS VR headset has already sold for £475 which is close to $700 without the camera which is needed to use PlayStation VR.

Stupidity is strong with some people. Then again, it's their money. They can give a 500 usd bill to their pets for all I care.

What..? The device is not even out yet. What are they selling - A pre-order receipt? Jeez...

Unfortunately selling pre-order reciepts has because all too common.

I'm going to wait for this to get cheap/get the feeling that Sony will release a slimmer model down the road too.

And it sounds ridiculous too.

I guess some people just can't wait a lil longer for new stock to come in... : P

Why would anyone buy it from eBay in the first place if you can get more stuff for the same price from an official retailer? Also, if they're selling a pee-order receipt there's still no guarantee that they'll get the headset at launch.

People pay to not have to wait. How people still don't understand this is beyond me.
