You can see the live blog here:

No live stream though.

I'm gonna go with $399 for the headset and $450 for the camera/move bundle. $599 for the console bundle

Something about that 599 price point seems like so much win.  Comparing it to the PS3's original launch price, and to the price of the Rift (599), it seems like such a great deal.    I'm thinking that might be the black friday bundle with an extra game or two.

399

They meant fiscal year... this whole time!  LOL

But seriously,  I think they just did what they had to do to bring Facebook and Valve out of the shadows.

They have known for quite some time obviously (See the gamestop interview) but everything they have done has been extremely calculated.

They probably saw Oculus and Vive being sold out instantly. Figured 399 would be low enough and build up stock for the hype season. Launching early would have helped with generating word of mouth interest for the holiday period, yet that doesn't seem neccesary, it's already popular enough. More games will be available too, avoiding "can't buy one anywhere, nothing to play on it anyway" negativity.

But I wonder, will that include the camera? Will there be a standalone headset? Move bundle? I guess Sony doesn't know yet either.
