Tekken 3 FTW!! Tekken 5 is close though.

Well I've seen the game in arcades, but I've never actually tried it out. From what I've seen it does look pretty interesting though. I need to try it out sometime.

I was the same with Tekken 5, I never did actually play it at the arcade. The last Tekken game I bought was Tekken 4. I don't have a PS3, so no 5 for me, hehe.

I m not going to say Tekken6 will be bad but I have the impression to play the same game since YEARS. Now, the gameplay feels a bit dated to me.

The Tekken series is one of those that you can always rely on to produce a certain high standard with every new game, and personally I don't think the formula needs changing.

I strongly disagree that SSBB has had any affect on this game. Few PS3 owners will care how good Brawl is supposed to be, and really the decision between the two will have to be made only by the very small minority who own both a PS3 and a Wii. Also Tekken is marketed, to an extent at least, toward the more hardcore fighting fans because it is typically very difficult to master properly, and these very fans are more likely to own a PS3 in the first place. And just to avoid my being attacked, I will add that I do not expect it to outsell SSBB, or even come close, but it should do well.

This isn't one of my favorite 3D fighters but I'm always on the lookout to see how good a new Tekken will be. I thoroughly enjoyed Tekken 5. It seems to me though that out of the four major 3D fighters remaining, Namco makes the worst two(Tekken and Soulcalibur). Virtua Fighter has an air tight fighting system built on absolute balance and DOA has a remarkable countering system with more depth than most fighting games put together. I will give it to Tekken that it's much more balanced and overall more fun than Soulcalibur nowadays.

Yep PS3 has it covered for beat em ups. Tekken 6 should be good. Hope its out soon.
