Forums - Gaming - Xbox core 4 brands how are they holding up.

Hello now listen here pudding before i give u a dry slap, how do u rate Xbox's exclusive brands (or should that now be Windows 10), Did u like any of the games in the series and what would u rate there most recent entrys.

Halo Series: Halo 1 to 3 were brilliant odst was good side dish, but for me reach i hated the jet packs story was blah. halo 4 step in the right direction story was still boring, multiplayer was alot better. Halo 5 no splitscreen campaign this pissed me off and the multiplayer not for me. So i would halo is in decline.

Gear Series: I loved the 1st game, 2 was not as good, 3 ok, Judgement was good fun and Ultimate Edtion was solid. So it looks like gears 4 could really reignite this series.

Fable Series: I only played 2 which was ok, and 3 i really liked. But this series looks like it dying faster than a blue rince.

Forza Series: I loved Forza 4 and the main series has not been good since, Forza Horizon 2 however is the best racing game i have played this gen reminds of test drive. Forza main series is in decline, but the spinoff series Horizon is going strength to srength.

This is my opinoin whats your's?

This is how I will rate them:

Forza first, because its the only series (from the 4 that were mentioned) that hasn't experienced a quality decrease over the years.

Halo 5 is debatable, good single player, a disappointing campaign compared to the epicness of its predecessors

Fable will always be fun, unless they decide to change it completely and make a online multiplayer only game. Which is what I sense from the information we have so far.

I will rate Gears last, simply because of how lame Judgement was in my records and how impressed I was with the E3 demo.

Lets hope Microsoft realizes that they need more franchises if they want to ever win a gaming generation and make the XBox brand as profitable as possible. Quantum Break and Scale Bound are a good start.

Judgement i never played campaign but multiplayer it was fun too be the monster mash.

I think I'm one of the few who really liked the vibe from Gears 4. I'm wasn't a fan of the series before, though, and I liked that it didn't look as bro-ish.

Quantum Break might become Microsoft's Infamous but development seems very cluttered with the TV stuff so that might be a reach. It could be so story-driven that becoming a continuous franchise is impractical.

Forza is a strong brand now.

Halo 5 will probably be seen as a disappointment in general terms, which means Halo 6 (or whatever) had be very, very strong. I know Microsoft is super committed to Halo but it might be time to start searching for the next blockbuster.

It's kind of interesting that Microsoft is so invested in continuing Halo and Gears while it looks like Sony is fine with moving on from popular franchises after a certain point.

I've really been digging Gears of War Ultimate. So am now a lot more hyped for GoW4 than I would have been.

Halo I always thought was over-rated tbh. Though I really enjoyed 3. Not played any after that though other than having a quick look at Halo 5. I want to work through the MCC when I get around to buying that before coming to a full decision though.

Forza - Not played one since Forza 3. Though Horizon 2 was one of the big reasons I bought an XB1 so I'm looking forward to getting that.

Fable I really have no interest in. But I think I got burned out on hype for the first game. Maybe I should give that franchise another shot.

RIP Dad 25/11/51 - 13/12/13. You will be missed but never forgotten.

People will not like my opinion, but here goes:

Halo: I used to really like Halo. I played the multiplayer of 1 for a long time with my friend. I played everything up to Halo 3: ODST (which is an atrocity) and it killed the franchise for me. Considering i've heard nothing but bad things in regards to the (343) story campaigns i've lost all interest. I don't pay Microsoft for Xbox Live so multiplayer is useless to me.

Forza: Racing isn't my fortee anymore, but Forza has always looked pretty. I think it's a solid franchise.

Fable: Shit.

Gears: Interested to see how this one pans out since it's being made an unproven studio. I liked 2-3 a lot.

Microsoft really does need some new big IP.

From all those I'm only interested in Forza Horizon anymore.
Forza main series too if they ever get to dynamic time/weather.

I enjoyed Halo 4's campaign, yet kinda bored with the series.
Fable 1 was great, Fable 2 ok, Fable 3's demo and reviews put me off the series.
Gears 1 was great, Gears 2 was ok, didn't bother with Gears 3.

From these series I like Halo and Forza the best. I haven't played Halo 5 yet but imo Halo 4 is the best of the series and Halo 5's multiplayer looks like way better than other entries.

On a side note, I didn't really like Halo 3 which to me is the weak one...

I think Forza is still the best racing franchise on consoles. It offers so much and plays so great I think with every games they surpass themselves. Having the ability to paint your car and the Drivatar...

The Forza Horizon series... what is there to say except that it's the best racing game I have ever played.

I like Fable 1-2 never played 3 but I'm interested by Fable Legends.

Gears is not a game I was too invested in. Liked the first one but never got to play the others. I think I have a lot to catch... or maybe not.

1 brand down!
