Forums - Gaming - The most anticipated RPG Zombie game

The Australian government video game classifications board has rated a game titled "Dead Island: Retro Revenge." They said game is being published by Koch Media, which is the parent company of Deep Silver, and developed by Empty Clip Studios.

Fatshark who made "Escape Dead Island." were given poor reviews and left fans split. The other recent "Dead Island: Epidemic" was a MoBA that has been shut down before it could even move out of Early Access. Is the Dead Island series over? Will we ever see the release to the highly anticipated RPG zombie game.

Techland was originally set to develop Dead Island 2, but instead were bluntly dropped! They went on to develop the critically acclaimed Dying Light with Warner Bros, Interactive Entertainment. In July 2015, Deep Silver announced that Yager has been dropped from developing the game due to massive differences in the respective vision for the game between the two companies, which according to him, had "fell out of alignment". As a result, the game's separate development team, Yager Productions GmbH, filed for insolvency in July 2015.

Mm. It's kind of a shame. I didn't think Dead Island was all that great but the world had potential. It would be kind of a shame if it died as a franchise. On the other hand, it's not like another zombie game is really needed and the basic formula for Dead Island really needed some spice.

State of Decay, addictive.

I liked State of Decay for it's management, perma death of survivors along with them acting like extra lives type mechanics. Currently I'm playing Dying Light's DLC "The Following" and it's fairly decent, I enjoyed the base game a lot more thanks to it's parkour and the countryside does feel quite barren, empty and uninteresting (along with zombies literally spawning in front of me from think air). Dying Light I would say was the most anticipated zombie RPG I was looking forward to for a while and it delivered what I wanted, though Dead Island was also a nice series I loved but Dead Island 2 seems to be in limbo after the whole crap with Yager and them having split.

On the flip side Yager went on to develop a space flight combat simulator called Dreadnought that's due for PC sometime this year. looking forward to that.

I was going to get Dead Rising 3 but the PC port turned out to be not so great so I decided to just not buy the 3rd game at all.

My only two issues I have with Dying Light would have to be it's water visuals and heavy use of Chromatic Aberration. State of Decay for it's low end visuals and visual glitches (it's got a nice art style though).

Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.
