Indies and multiplats have
always been superior, technically, on PC. That's not saying much. As for "admitting what's best all around", however, that's up to the individual user.

Yes just that las gen indies were kind of put aside except from XBLA and this gen people brag about indies like they are this new gaming phenomenon. PCs had them, still do and will continue to lead. I agree best is subjective though but when you have half the console exclusive games people are bragging about I think it's safe to say you have what most people want.

I think you're asking the wrong site imo.

Which then begs the question, what site would be a better place to go to with this question?

I think you have an answer to that question that's better than anything I could come up with.

Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.

I wish more of my family and friends gamed on PC. I just feel a weird disconnect when gaming on it, while consoles feel natural. But it's always had better performance, way more games, cheaper prices, free online, entire genres pretty much exclusive to it, etc etc.

For many it is the primary system and there's no reason to even consider consoles.

Please don't call games available for more than one system "exclusives". That's the same BS as "console exclusives".

This.

But more importantly to answer the OP,  yes if I was to pick a second main platform to game on of course I'd pick the pc.  I may have considered the xbox but it's ruled itself out.

The combination of multiplats that are x1/pc plus pc only games would be enough,  although there are only 1 or 2 pc only games I care about.

I have a pc already so I guess I already do but I don't game on it because I feel no need.

The only other gaming platform I'd consider buying that I don't will be PSVR.

I don't, but it's not a big deal, either. I just didn't know where you could take this, outside of PC sites, that would result in vastly different responses.

This site isn't really providing absolute vast repsonses though, it's mostly the same sort of answer and side which was why I said it wasn't the best idea for Zero to ask this site that sort of question because the answer for the most part is largely going to remain the same, probably for after this gen as well.

NeoGAF.

Sounds like the right sort of place considering GAF is fair to both types than one type alone like on here.

Yeah I was interested in why we disagree. Again, what are the stellar PS4/XBO exclusives that makes PC as a platform have "a way to go before having the best exclusive games for consoles?" I am legitimately interested just so I can know if I am missing something here.

"Stellar" is a relative term. I said the PC has a ways to go before it has "the best" from the consoles. What would be considered that? Well, a look at the PS3/360 era, as a start. Titles like Uncharted 2, The Last Of Us, LittleBigPlanet, Halo 3, the Forza games etc, etc (and this doesn't even include the Wii). To claim the best is already on the platform short changes what's available on these systems.

I am wondering what exactly the word "best" is qualifying here. I am sure the original person you quoted wasn't saying that PC has the best exclusives in every genre, for example. It seems to me as if "best" in this context specifically means more high quality exclusives. Likewise consoles don't have Total War, Starcraft, Civilization, Path of Exile, etc all great series released on PC last gen. It is also telling that after two years on the market you need to go to 7th generation platforms to support the claim of plenty of console exclusives PC gamers are missing out on. You also have to compile all consoles as if they were one platform.

I do like dem PC exclusives! Sexy Beach Premium sure is fap worthy

PC Specs: CPU: 7800X3D || GPU: Strix 4090 || RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 || Main SSD: WD 2TB SN850

PC has always been worthwhile. Just comes down to preferences. Personally I enjoy getting all the consoles+ PC.

Ok before anyone jumps to conclusions hear me out here.

So lately i've noticed PC has been building itself up well as a main gaming device or for console gamers as a great 2nd gaming device.

Why do i think this?. Its the number of exclusive games its been getting lately.

And not just any type of old PC exclusives that console gamers never had much interest in, but Console exclusives that might finally make console gamers say "That would make a good 2nd gaming device". For instance if your just a PS4 owner you have games such as, Fable Legends, Gears Ultimate, Rise of Tomb Raider (Maybe timed), Quantum Break etc.

As an Xbox 1 owner you have access to games such as, SF5, Shenmue, FF7Remake, No Mans Sky etc.

And as a WiiU owner you have access to all of the above.

This has lead me to believe that for a 1 console only gamer the PC has become the Ultimate 2nd gaming device since it finally has the exclusives they want to play??.

So what say you gamers do you think PC has become the ultimate 2nd gaming device to have to compliment your console of choice??.

A lot of us have known this for a long time now.

Personally, I have a PS4, WiiU, and a PC, so...I get to play pretty much everything. But! I could easily have just stuck with PC and PS4 and have more games that I could ever realistically play.
