Your issue resides within your CPU. The issue shall return, and eventually it will not rectify. Your computer is failing watch your CPU usage over the next few weeks. This is most likely the cause of a poorly functioning cooling unit, and the damage is pretty much done.

What does Linux do? No hax0rz? |
It's a system so unused and unpopular that nobody bothers to make virus' for it because they figure there is no point since it'd be extremely unlikely for anyone using linux to ever come across it.
That's the reason why there are no Mac virus' either.
Not because their operating systems are better... but because they are so marginal nobody thinks it's worth their time.
It's lik an ugly girl bragging that rude guys never hit on her. Not saying Linux or Apple are inferior or anything, but the fact that people don't develop virus' for them is a poor thing to brag about.
Personally I wouldn't go through with it because I'd likely have to dual boot with windows anyway to use half the stuff I need and play half the games I want to play. Doesn't seem worth it. If I was going to do it that way i'd just go back to DOS.
Ah the days of DOS where if you forgot where you saved something you were pretty much just screwed.
Either way virus need to be tailored to the operating system they're targeting.

The virus was awesome though it was a trojan and opened access to who ever hacked it. And they kept openning random audio on the computers intially freaking everyone out. And then you couldn't open task manager, would only open one site on the internet. It completely limited what you could run. Yeah that sucked |
We had one of those on one of my computers back in highschool that i found while i was goofing off looking in random folders... show'd my teacher, he was pretty surprised.
I think I had just got done hacking minesweeper so I had like a high score of 2 seconds and was looking to see if i could do it with any other games.
He also told me his one friend used to do the same thing with a pinball game they'd compete to get a high score on... and it took him a couple months to realize that was what his friend was doing, pulling a trick on him.

uh I had something similar happen before, where more than half of the internet wasn't working. It was the ISP.
