This is a joke right?

No. He actually has a deal for a board game. He even said it himself.

Made a bet with LipeJJ and HylianYoshi that the XB1 will reach 30 million before Wii U reaches 15 million. Loser has to get avatar picked by winner for 6 months (or if I lose, either 6 months avatar control for both Lipe and Hylian, or my patrick avatar comes back forever).

Not really, he had a board game with I think three partners based on games like Street fighter/Mortal Kombat/Dragonball and he makes money with it.  He sounds very reasonable but difficult to not feel that he has to stay reasonable.  You can see the tease at 36.00 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aorKjw71ckQ&feature=youtu.be&t=33m38s  Also their is another video where he presents it at a con.

I heard about the questionable amount of content ready at launch, but it sounds like it was true. I figured it was sold at 20-30 USDs, but shocked it was being sold at 60. Even if more will be released later, for what it offers, it still sounds too much. Though it happened as well with Splatoon, but it came equipped with enough at launch.

Hmm, nah.  Splatoon had "enough" content when the summer update released.  And even then I only paid $45 for it on a Best Buy sale.  The game has never felt like $60 worth of content.

I guess you can't get into character and flip out about things if you have a deal with that company. I thought he was a good guy always looking out for gamers? That was funny after seeing how much he flipped out about games like Battlefront and Evolve for issues SFV is much guiltier of.

Someone said it earlier in the thread and I agree, it's bizarre seeing all this trust and good will people are putting towards Capcom to deliver on all this stuff they are promising in a timely and free manner. I mean, it's fucking Capcom.

Yeah, he was so forgiving he called the game a huge disappointment at the moment, not worth getting at full price right now, and encouraged people to wait until March or June.  Oh, and also told apologists for the game to shut up very early on.  Yeah, super forgiving.

Seriously, actually listen to what he says.  Oh and Evolve launched with significantly less content than SFV in many areas (seriously, think about that) and intended to sell every single piece for inflated prices, all of which was up for sale at launch and the majority cannot be obtained by any other means.  And Battlefront launched with crappy preorder benefits, severe lack of content, and a $40 season pass.  All of which was announced at launch.  He got livid then cause it was confirmed.  He isn't going to foam at the mouth over hypothetical rip offs.

Seriously people, my word, he does everything we always demand these critics to do.  He warns the game is lacking content, is disappointing at this moment, isn't worth the price tag as is, and encourages people to wait all without jumping on the bandwagon of people giving it a 1 to 4 (seriously folks, play Ride to Hell or Two Worlds or Mind Jack before you give this any of those scores).  Isn't that what we want, detailed honesty?  He gives credit where do and criticizes hard where needed.

Seems you either missed or intentionally ignored the first sentence of my post :)

Also thanks to reviews like Angry Joe's, youre extremely wrong about Evolves launch. And what you just said about Battlefront can be applied to SFV. But theres no vitriol in this video because he has a deal with Capcom. The gloves dont come off. So he is cutting a game and company a break literally because he is paid to do so.

I admit more would have been better, but from the start I'd say it had enough. What was it lacking?

This is so true lol.  He would have ripped the game a new hole if he didn't have that deal.

smh capcom they killed street fighter

This seems to be the way games are going now were you're not getting the full game at launch, be it a good or bad thing. For this game you get what you want now and the content you don't really care about later, I know a lot of people that would love to get Call of Duty early with just the multiplayer and the campaign patched in later

I was wondering why he wasn't flipping his shit over something like this and yet he completely flipped for the likes of Battlefront and other games. That was until I realized he has some deal going Capcom, now it makes sense why he won't go all cray over it. Disappointed in Joe the same way I'm disappointed with Dtoid and their Division PC port report (it sounds completely bought).
