I've only recently started BB and for now it's much harder to me than DeS/DaS, as I was a "hide behind shields" guy in both. Ah, and I started with the threaded cane, but I new beforehands that it's supposedly the hardest weapon to start BB with.

I'm using the cane in my 2nd playthrough (Maria build..cane until i get the Rakuyo) and I like it

You probably already know this but its whip form is considered a serrated weapon and does 20% extra damage to beasts
