Forums - Gaming - Dragon Quest Heroes 2 main characters revealed

From Gematsu (scans on the link)

The latest issue of Weekly Jump has first details on the new protagonists of Dragon Quest Heroes II, as well as information on new supporting characters and the world which the game is set.

All five characters introduced this time were designed by Dragon Quest series character designer Akira Toriyama.

  • Razel (Male Protagonist) – A proud novice knight. Officer candidate student in Gywall studying abroad at neighboring country Orenka’s officer school. A passionate guy who is always energetically racing ahead.
  • Tereshia (Female Protagonist) – A fighting female class president. Officer candidate student at Gywall and Razel’s cousin. Provides some levelheadedness to balance Razel’s tendancy to race ahead.
  • Cesare – A prince and commander in chief of the army. Prince of Gywall and childhood friend of the protagonists. Adored for his personality, but unmanageable when he loses his temper.
  • Orneze – The respected “big sister”-esque character of the protagonists. A warrior who serves the Kingdom of Zebion. Famous as the red female warrior who uses a giant ax. Cheerful and reliable.
  • King Zebion – The king of Zebion, a suzerain state comprised of seven countries.

An ancient prophecy in the world of Dragon Quest Heroes II says there will be a battle that involves all seven countries, which has just begun. Tereshia visits Razel, who is studying abroad in Orenka. Their home country Gywall and Orenka are the two countries that trigger the battle, which the protagonists get sucked into.

Dragon Quest Heroes II is due out for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PS Vita in Japan on May 27.

DQH is a great game but western sales have not been particularly good, I just hope DQH2 comes to west...

I cannot imagine toilet-free life.

Kebabs have a unique attribute compared to other consumables. To unlock this effect you need to wolf down a big ass kebab really fast, like under 10 minutes or so and wait for the effect to kick in. If done correctly your movements should feel unbelievably heavy to the point where you literally cannot move at all.

This new cast looks a little plain compared to the previous game's cast, but I will say, the new girl lead is pretty cute xD

We only got the retail numbers of NA. We are missing the retail numbers of Europe, PSN US numbers, PSN EU numbers and of course Steam sales. Also, Musou games have some ''legs''.

If I remember right DQH kinda bombed in UK and did not do too well in German charts...It had a little better opening in France but DQH did not seem to have legs anywhere outside Asia/Japan. If DQH2 won't come to west, I'll blame all the people who were hyped about DQ-game but didn't put their money where their mouth was.

Pretty much. If DQH2 doesn't arrive here it would be because SE wasn't happy with DQH numbers.
