PSVita's support is still going on by many Japanese development studios and Japanese software publishers. Opening up more of their games to be ported to the west is on the cards no doubt.

Already Sony is bringing PlayStation network features & software to smart phones. Which is why gathering Japan studios & Publishers on board to port the smartphone games & Apps to console's may in fact be a far more lucrative investment.
