If you live in a country that allows you to own firearms I highly recommend you meet some shooters and go shooting with them. It's really fun and legal firearm owners are some of the nicest most respectful people I have met. I have personally found that people not experienced or educated about firearms tend to change their mind about guns when they give guns a try. They tend understand what its really about.

The laws in my state are pretty good for gun owners and some are getting better. Most of the people I know own firearms. You wouldn't guess it just looking or talking to them, but they do. To the best of my knowledge none of them have used their firearms to commit a crime. Its true that guns are used for legal purposes far more often than for illegal purposes. Shooting ranges are full of people everyday in my area. People are hunting all the time. People are carrying for personal protection. I don't live in the best part of town, but from what I see theres a lot more good people with guns than bad people with guns and less gun laws will keep it that way.

BTW posting message on this website really sucks, very buggy. Such a pain in the ass to quote, edit, etc. 

I fucking love Penn and Teller. Always have, always will. Their books are all amazing too, and Penn's radio show is really great. I think you can stream it online. I highly recommend listening to it, especially on any Tuesday ever.
