Any word on the physical release? I wouldn't pay 40 for digital, but definitively for physical.

These Indies are getting more and more expensive in general first it was 10€, then 20€ and now they are charging 36€ or 40€. I feel the score is very undeserved for the price, you can buy Resident evil 1 and 0 for the same price point

Have you play the game to make a judgement or you are getting your opinion out of your ass?

Do you know this game is like 80 - 100h long? And is not like this is a 16bit 2D platformer, you just need to look it to know there is a big work behind.

In fact looks like there is a way more work put on this game than on RE remaster 1 and 0 combined.

no there was not more work behind it than for both resi 0 and 1 even for the remastered versions, and if you havent played both or missed one this a huge better value.

Just look at the Witness it has no story, no voice acting, no character design, no substance. The graphics look very mediocore and so looks the gameplay, at least to me. Go look at games like Fatal Frame 5, Akiba Strip, Onechebara Z2, Deception 4 what they offer in the same categories mentioned for a similiar price point. And then look at their reviews on metacritic which get completley trashed by these reviewers.

Its unbelievable how Indies think they can charge their games now for 40$ and they still get away with it by reviewers. Wasnt this one of the great point of indies that they are so cheap?

I dont need to beat all those games to know how they are though, and btw, i have beaten Fatal Frame V. I like the game, but is uninspired, its concept feels old, its controls are outdated and it is plenty of dull moments. Is a solid horror game over all, but now you are comparing this to a game that looks the exact opposite, and you are judging it from a very superficial pov: the scope, the voice acting, the graphics, etc (wich is funny because this game is actually pretty big and it looks gorgeous) when we are talking about a Puzzle game where the most important stuff is definitely none of those things.

Thats a glowing review...

Game is probably one of those you need to experiance yourself to truely understand how great they are.
And how many great puzzle games are there really? probably worth a buy.

Has there been any update on whether this game is getting a physical release? It looks really interesting and I was intrigued with it ever since it was previewed back in E3 2013. But I really don't want to pay $40 for a digital game. The last time I actually bought a new digital title was back in 2010. I have picked up a couple of Virtual Console games since then, but that was mostly me double-dipping old titles I already had.

^ this.

When a indie get a 10 out of 10, review score, I feel like they should have a physical release as well.

personally I'd rather pay $100 for The Witness than $1 for any of those copy/paste trope games (atleast Deception seems to have a fun fighting system) you adore

Braid is still one of the best times I ever had in puzzle games and in gaming overall

Looks good, I bought a PlayStation Four for 2 games. This one and Star Ocean :)
Time to un-dust it! Game looks awesome.

I thought the Witness was only timed though. it will be on X1 in a few months. Maybe sooner since it was recently rated by ESRB,

Do you know what indie means? Do you understand that an independent studio can make a AAA quality game?  I suppose you won't acknowledge a developer until they have spread their legs open at the altar of the church of Activision and EA.  So if The Witness doesn't have EA stitched across its vagina then it can't be worth more than $10.  Nearly 100 hours of gameplay, hundreds of puzzles woven together in a dense visually appealing setting with mystery and a story.  A deserved 10/10, the culmination of thousands of man hours and it's only $40.

IGN reviewer said she spent more than 70h on it, and estimated if you wanted to do everything it would be more than 100h.

Theres plenty of games out there for 40$ that you buy and 7hours lateron your like okay, that was it.

Also most games dont review for perfect score of a 10.

The problem is the digital only thingy....you would want to buy this as a physical copy.

Honestly if they make games like this, that review for 10s, they should have physical releases.
