Obviously the Wii was the console to get last generation for the casual person who was new to gaming.

The PS4

Because my non-gamers family members have one with 1 game, Star wars.

The Console with most casual games as usual. Microsoft have always aimed towards casuals and Sony started this generation but they have also started to deliver more Jrpg's so it wouldn't make sense to grant the Ps4 the title "casual" console.

I suppose the ps4 but, while there were clear casuals in the case of the wii last gen and the ps2 the gen before as a DVD player, I don't think there's as many casuals this time around...

Streaming is replacing DVDs, things like roku and Apple TV are around for streaming shows and channels, and mobile/tablets fill that casual need for simple games. I suspect a higher ratio of console owners are actually what most would call "gamers" this gen than the previous two.

There's not such term as casual.

EDIT: Well, I must elaborate. Some people tend to use "casual" and "hardcore" gamer as with "hard" and "easy" games. So if you play 3 hours/day to Dark Souls 2 you're more hardcore than a person who plays 3 hours/day to Candy Crush, which I don't agree. So, if I had to use that term, I'd say "casual" are people who doesn't play a lot. Based on that, I'd say that the prize is always to the most popular console, since it's the console that people who doesn't play a lot would buy it just because its popularity. So that'd be PS4 if we're talking about a home console. I don't think there's a lot of these "casual" gamers on home consoles, they are probably more into mobile.
