Never heard of this...this is a sequel to Myst/Riven? I am very intrigued now. Loving the art style.

Not a sequel but it's inspired by it. If you want something closer to those games you should look out for Obduction, which is from the same company that made Myst.

I'm concerned that this might be a game where the environment itself is entirely obsolete. It's just the path to the next line puzzle, which if that's the case I'm not playing this.

No price has been revealed yet but I'd say it's likely to be around $20 - $25.

I hope so, but from watching that dev walkthrough you posted it doesn't appear like that's the case at all.
