Forums - Sony - Just gave The Order 1886 a second try

And it still pisses me off.

Honestly, did anyone of the creators play this game? I played it and looked carefully at the gameplay.

Example 1: i dont take cover, i stand in the room, 5 bad guys around me, and i smash their candy asses like a boss.

Example 2: 3 werewolves (dont remember how they called em) try to attack me. I shoot, the x button must be pressed to dodge....i stop shooting, just have my hand on the pad and the other i use to look for a good documentation on youtube. I dont even pause the game, i just see in the corner of my eye the x flashing up to dodge. Same animation over and over....

Then i stopped cause this is horrible.

Thoughts? Am i a boss or what?

My thoughts are that just because a game is easy, doesn't mean it isnt enjoyable. How was the world, the characters, the story, the music, the aiming, the feel of the guns? Theres alot missing from your impressions. Is feeling like a boss what you don't enjoy?

Does the game not have higher difficulty levels btw?

Play Bloodborne while browsing the webz then, boss.

The Order is a great game, with all its faults considered. Failed opportunity to popularize a fantastic franchise imo.

Sir Galahad is one of the best characters I've ever played with.

Just a single difficulty. The game needed more combat scenarios and variations on the werewolf encounters.

It's not perfect by any means but I enjoyed it. I hope Sony at least commission Santa Monica to give it a sequel and at least give the story a closing arc.

Fundamental as are there, they just need to be used now on a wider scale.

THIS.

I dont believe in single purposed Studios. It is dumb and it stunts their creativity. Im not saying that Santa Monica developers are chained in a dungeon creating moar and moar God of War tho, but i would like to see more AAA of them not named GoW.

They should be perfect for a The Order sequel. The perfect balance between cinematic and deep gameplay.

I will say it wasn't particularly hard, but I enjoyed it and would have got a sequel as was interested in the story and world.

But it's a system seller. RAD is the next Naughty Dog.

The fact that so many people actually believed this game would be something pisses me off to no end. It was clear from day one that it'd be all fluff and because Sony needed an early-year seller they overmarketed it hoping it'd fill the gap. Even Knack wasn't as bad with how many people hyped it up as a huge title.

Not to say it's a bad game. For $10 it's alright. Still very much a commercialized filler game people were simply told they wanted, but it's playable, although the mechanics are about as stiff as some of the acting. I'm ranting purely about the game's marketing and pre-launch hype.

You should check out my YouTube channel, The Golden Bolt!  I review all types of video games, both classic and modern, and I also give short flyover reviews of the free games each month on PlayStation Plus to tell you if they're worth downloading.  After all, the games may be free, but your time is valuable!

That's incorrect. I just played it and there are difficulty settings.

plays game on easy mode. complain it's to easy.

The game was OK. Lots of good points, some major crap points, deserves a sequel with all the crap points removed and the good points preserved. Won't happen though.

Like I said in the disappointments in 2015, it's almost insulting that a "game" like this came out after launch. It's literally like they spent 90% of the dev cycle on graphics and making it look purty, then went with the most generic gameplay trope possible for every situation.

Open ended cliffhanger ending was icing on the cake, as if this turd will get a sequel.
