i think it changed too much and the main story that replaced wasnt good at all.
Maybe the storyline in RE4 wasn't the best, but the game was great, i haven't played other RE so i can't compare.

@ismael - thats the thing, to me the story (and most characters) was horrible. So for me to play it meant that it had amazing gameplay (which it did). Which means that RE4 is a great game. Damn circular reasoning that goes nowhere.:)
Did you play Code Veronica? That game had a bad story.

No, not particularly. I couldn't even finish the game. And I love the RE franchise.

Me too. I hope they improve it and make it more about the original story.
