Shouldn't they release Crisis Core before they release the remake alltogether?

Currently i am playing ff7 on my ps4 and i am loving it... again. I do worry though, all these corny dialogue boxes is part of what made it so great... The 'slow' paced gameplay with the mesmerizing music...

edit: now that i think about it, wouldn't that spoil parts of the story? Can't exactly remember... getting old.

i'd say start where ff7 started and end where ff7 ended. crisis core flashback szenarios inbetween, similar to the ff8 laguna loire parts, might be a good idea to expand on the overall story though.

Yes it would, see 0815User's quoted bit above. Placing Crisis Core story aspects in the game and revealing the truth about Cloud before it's meant to be will ruined that aspect of the story.... if someone hasn't played it obviously. CC, DoC, AD, any spin-off in general expand a story that didn't need to be expanded. FF7s story on it's own is fine. Pretty sure we can all agree that many funny/corny dialogue lines will be missing. This is modern SE who made a series that had quite a few jokes in them into FF13, the most emo game ever. :P

Hmm, pie.

They probably already did implement that and Crisis Cores story as well.

Who knows, maybe. :)

That is exactly what I had in mind, flashbacks with gameplay within episodes. Adapting those other games (Dirge of Cerberus also) could result in being too ambitious for a project they already call ambitious to begin with.

Crisis Core being a prequel could spoil the plot-twist in the game (for those who haven't played it yet).

Im not that interested in going beyond FF7s ending.

if they cna weave those storylines into the main game somehow, then sure I am for it. maybe geostigma becomes more relevant in the main storyline or something I dunno.

I don't see Geostigma having a major role before the end of FF7R beyond a possible mention. Like there being books telling of the Planet doing that before.

Nintendo is selling their IPs to Microsoft and this is true because:

They should go even further and remaster CC in FF7R.

You're not alone in the sentiment, other posters here have said the same. :D
