Haha that's reminds me of when I was a kid and hated Beyblade and basically hated anything else that I felt that encroached on Pokémon's territory. The only one I eased up on was Yu-Gi-Oh but that was only becuase I wanted to collect the cards (couldn't play that game to save my life). 

Please understand...  Yokai Watch started with just 50,000 units sold in japan it's first week and then sold 300,000 overall in its first 6 months. In the next calendar year it sold 1 million units and then was a big hit by the time the sequel came out.  Its gonna take time but eventually with the anime and support it will take off in north america.

Haha, I figured you would feel the same with those 2. I think I felt the same as you as a kid, but not as much, cuz I knew Digimon couldn't compete against Pokemon xD I'm okay with Yokai being around probably for the same reason. Infact, I feel like Yokai will die at the rate it's going.. o: Pokemon is a game that can't be challenged by anything that is similar. It's just too big o:
