Terrorism is the hot topic these days. Final Fantasy VII Remake is coming and those who've played the game know of AVALANCHE and what they stand for and what they do to stop the evil corporation Shinra which is destroying the planet.

AVALANCHE, an echoterrorist group bombs Mako Reactors and use violence to stop Shinra and the characters you use are part of that group (except Cloud which he's like there in the beginning because of money and stuff)

If we look at the trailer, it gives the impretion that the remake will stand true to the original terrorist concept (there are some explosions but they may be just about infiltration), 1) but how would you feel if SquareEnix dumbs down the terrorist element in the orginal game?

2) Do you think there is a chance that SquareEnix will censor that part of the orginal story?

3) Do you think they should given the current situation or do you think the artistic integrity should go beyond any possible controversies?

4) If you think they should censor or re-write that terrorist element, what approach would you suggest?

5) If Square censors Final Fantasy VII, would that affect your decision of purchasing the game?

Of course they will censor it. just like they censored all explosives and the ability to attack friendly NPCs in just Cause 3.

For the love of god, stop giving them ideas!

The trailer gives the impression that they are infiltrating a reactor so it is a given that they are taking the story to a similar place to the original. However, I wonder if there is still space to change it from "bombing a reactor" to something else, something like sabotage or taking something away from the reactor to make it stop working.

That's pretty simple. Just call them "freedom fighters" instead and everything is golden.

Something like: look at what this group is really capable of.

What do you mean?

The thing is that if Square would opt out of depicting them as terrorists and instead they are activists sabotaging reactors that leaves space for Shinra to destroy a sector and blame AVALANCHE for people to call them murderers.
