Now that I have had more time to think about my explanation, I can also give you two additional reasons why a Japanese company with a passionate fan base would choose to avoid putting games on PC. Putting a game on Steam drives down the prices of a game. Level-5 and especially Atlus like to maintain high prices on their games (as does Nintendo, though that's neither here nor there). Since their fan bases are passionate, they will buy the games at their high prices. Secondly, both Atlus and Level-5 work with both Sony and Nintendo extensively. Not putting their games on PC or other platforms (which would sell relatively insignificantly) might get them more bargaining power with either Sony or Nintendo. |
Well I guess they'll never get PC money if that's their true line of thought, more for other devs that try I guess, I'll support those that do though.
Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.
