Yeah if you have a pc and ps4 and want the best version of these Japanese games,  the ps4 is often the best to get.

Why is that? What is the advantage of the PS4 version vs. PC version? I don't think that was even relevant to what Outlawauron was saying anyway.

I'm just saying that the history of ports from console to PC for these type of games isn't good.  They see pc as a quick money grab and treat them as such.

Generally western devs do good ports to PC but Japanese don't.  Regardless it's great to see for people who don't own a Playstation console.

Just did.  Most people don't do that though so what I said is still true.  And even if they do it's a lot of hassle.  People don't give western devs the benefit of the doubt if they release a crap pc port but if a Japanese Dev does they seem to get a free pass.

At the very least I can't think of a Japanese port that makes the game worse on PC than on PS3/PS4, only not better. They all at least run at the same/similar framerates and show the same/similar visuals. For most games you can get benefits though (such as higher resolutions, framerates, other graphical features, and maybe alternative control schemes.) So I still can't see how the following is justified. I'd argue for example, that Tales of Zesteria is (marginally) better on PC, as are pretty much all the other Japanese ports this generation, thus far:

"want the best version of these Japanese games,  the ps4 is often the best to get.  "

What are you on about?, Japan devs dont get a free pass and thats why you read about them being bad ports. Its not that they are full with game breaking bugs that wasnt on the console versions. In fact the reason they get rated a bad port is cos they do be exactly like the console versions. So in other words, the is no benefit to getting the console version since its the exact same. Still good way to try downplay this news even if it was a bad attempt..

Thanks but you're just repeating what the other guy said.  I'm just giving my opinion and not downplaying anything.  Why are you being so hostile?

Great! Expose this game as much as possible. It's a great gem. Much better than Dynasty Warriors and dare I say it, Hyrule Warriors. It's more of a Action RPG than a Hack N' Slash.

You what?

That's how I feel. I don't like seeing a buch of Chinese historical figures or people I'm not familiar with, hitting a bunch of enemies. DQH takes an extra step forward and is almost nothing like DW.

Awesome!. As time passes, I really don't know if I will even be keeping my ps4 since pc is getting so many japanese games now.

So? what about samurai warriors 4, disgaea 5, warrior orochi ultimate 3, deception 4, neptunia series, sword art online series, godzilla, onechebara, persona 5 as well as the Sony exclusives like Bloodborne, Knack, tommorow children, last guradian, gravity rush series.

The ps4 gets every japanese, you either will get it to playing it first or forever exclusiv,  not to mention you get to buying it physical. PS4 is still a must have system if you like japanese, after that i think the wiiu. PC however lacks any exclusive japanese games not avaible on ps4. Thats how i look at it at least

That's also not true. Koei Tecmo have been quite active in re-releasing their back catalogue on PC. Those games aren't available on PS4 so..

They are avaible on ps3 and dozzen of other games are not avaible on pc from ps1-ps4 Era, we are talking about new games here stop single out console gaming as a whole if you want to reach so far.

The only game on there that I find interesting (that aren't on other platforms) is Last Guardian (and also Ys, which you didn't mention, but I would also not be surprised if it were to release on pc). I just replayed Bloodborne last week and, as a huge huge huge Souls fan, I still find it so extremely disappointing (boring color palette, exciting weapon/build variety, bosses, etc.).

I am also really not a fan of recent persona games (3 and 4, since I don't like the social aspects and find them annoying and tedious) or those super hardcore anime rpgs that seem to be taking over the genre (Sword Art, Neptunia).

Perhaps, I was spoiled by my ps2 and its extremely high quality and diverse library (especially exclusives). I know it has only been two years, but still, I had so many more games for my ps2 after two years than I do for my ps4 (literally only Bloodborne and Dark Souls 2, which I also have on pc). I don't know. It's been tough
