Forums - Sony - Where's all the Old Hunters Hype?

8 - 10 hours is a 'small expansion'? That's the length of many AAA games.

The hype is on GAF by the way.

Are we sure that's the overall lenght? Bloodborne wasn't a very long game to begin with, so I'd be surprised if the DLC is over five hours.

What do you mean it was short? It was around 35 hours just for the main story and that doesn't include hidden areas which are huge. The three optional areas take about 10 hours to beat and the Hunters pack has three 'main' areas.

The PS5 Exists.

I didn't say it was short, I said it wasn't very long. Like Demon's Souls long.

It was around 25 hours for me with almost all the hidden areas except for one. And my third walkthrough of the game, which was rushing through it to obtain the first ending, lasted me two hours.

Well, you're the exception to the rule:

It's hard to make a rule from one thousand players of a game that has been bought by one million players. Never trust a statistic that has such low sample in comparison to the overall brute number.

And this is straying from my original question, which is if we are sure that's the overall DLC lenght, all things considered.

You mean like 1? LOL

In all seriousness, someone worked out it would be about 8 - 10 hours based on what the devs have said and the amount of areas in the full game. There are numerous new costumes and weopons in The Old Hunters and they're not likely to be right next to each other. The enemies and bosses are said to be ramped up and From have recommended you come close to beating the full game before you attempt the DLC.

My skepticism comes from Artorias of the Abyss, which in all fairness was From's first DLC regarding the Souls series. Even though it was awesome, it was disappointly short, so yeah.

I mean, Old Hunters could be a 20 minute affair on which we talk to an NPC and receive one new weapon and I'd gladly purchase it. I'll have to test how real those 8 to 10 hours truly are.

Well, like some said it is just a DLC in the end, no chance for it to generate hype as much like Black Ops or Fallout 4. Bloodborne already got enough love this year as one of the best games in the year 2015.

No, Demon's Souls was my second Souls game.
