I know PS3 is doing good and we are unlikely to see another price cut soon,,but most of my friends are waiting for another price cut before they get their PS3s.So I want to know your opinions.

Also I remember Sony announced that 45nm cell processor production will start in 2-3 months.

So my guess would be the day after E3 this summer.

They get to annouce it there and make a big deal about it.

I think Only the 40gb will get the price cut now and both sku will get price cut in november again.

Well, due to the PS3's success compared to last year, I think Sony will wait til much closer to Christmas for the price cut, and new SKU could be sooner, but I don't think we'll see a price cut til at least September, maybe later.

45nm hardware then drop so in the Fall. Price drop of $100. 40GB and 80GB models dropped, 80 GB model, no bc, $299 and 160GB model released $399. HDDs are hybrid HDDs so less heat released. Sony sells for profit.

 damn,that's a long way to wait  for my cheap ass friends to wait lol(j/k),,,,They are four to be exact ,and they say 499 is high for them and are not willing to settle for the 40 gb.

 how long the metal gear solid bundle you think would last?casue they will bring that in June.

Well, tell your friends if they are that cheap then buy one used.

But you never know, price drops can be quite obvious and other times hard to predict, with Sony and the PS3, right now it's hard to predict, the PS3 is selling well and eating up the 360's market share, so why mess with it right now? That's why I think they'll wait til a new SKU or until christmas.

Fall/holidays, just in time for Resistance 2 and Motorstorm 2, also to battle against Gears of War 2.

Unless MS does a major price drop before now through E3 then i expect a 100 dollar price drop on the 40 gig and a 50 for the 80. Believe.
