Maybe they expect the US economy to tank. After all if the US economy tanks the amount of money people are willing to pay for games is going to drastically drop for some people.

Handheld's would see a jump in general, and the PSP would likely get an even bigger boost due to it's pirateability.

Besides the PSP is great. Maybe they expect a huge Crisis Core boost.

Actually the article kinda insinuates they are already having PSP issues.

Of course PSP is great, I own one

It's just weird to me, PSP has been out in america for three years [in a week], and I'm just trying to figure out why there'd be shortages.

Surprisingly, I saw 3 used Wii the other week at an EBGames, but no new ones. I was shocked that they even had 1 there, let alone a stack of 3 used ones.

Of course, there is the possibility that they pulled their thing were they place it on the shelf even if they don't happen to have any.

Anyways, I expect the Wii to be sold out (in the US) from now until at least next spring.

If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy

Wow the Amazon UK page has some false information on there.

Completely backward compatible, all the way to the NES of the 1980s

Paying for new Wii versions of NES games doesn't = backwords compatability to me.
