Indeed...but it is Ubisoft. This thing hasn't been heard of in almost a year, no E3, various expos have been and gone and suddenly we get a similar themed Far Cry game just getting announced? I'd be pretty sad as I love Ancels games, but you also have to factor in that BG&E2 got announced and evaporated as well. Ubisoft don't seem to trust him with anything but Rayman.

This would be the second time it's happened to him, they cancelled his Rayman 4 game and spun the Rabbid enemies into a new IP in 2005, he had almost zero involvement with the final game.

The game isn't releasing anytime soon, holiday 2016 is the most obvious bet which will make 2 years between the releases. Whats wrong with that?

So... is Far Cry an annual series yet? I hope not.

i doubt they would announce it in Oct and release it in a month or two. this is probably a holiday 2016 game. 

I hope so, its just they are slowly making the releases faster and faster. And faster releases could possibly mean the standard Ubisoft quality seen in Assassins Creed.

I don't think most people would mind if they started alternating Far Cry and Assassin's Creed games in a bi-annual cycle. The problem is if we start getting FC games every year then at some point we will get another AC unity just with the Far Cry brand on the box.

The bi-annual thing could work if they work hard enough so as not to drop the quality.
