Forums - Sony - So...just ordered the PS TV

The fact that you can hack it to play like 99% of all the PS Vita games... makes it a decent device.
Its weird that so many games actually work pretty well, after just unlocking them via the hack.

Why the heck hasnt sony just allowed the PS TV to play all the games from the start?
PS TV sales would go up alot, cause of how cheap it is, compaired to the vita.

Is Uncharted one of the 99%? I recall reading there's a section that's literally undoable on the PSTV but I'm not gonna pick up a Vita to play it. If I can hack my PSTV to run it before they make it Drake Collection DLC I'll do it!

You should check out my YouTube channel, The Golden Bolt!  I review all types of video games, both classic and modern, and I also give short flyover reviews of the free games each month on PlayStation Plus to tell you if they're worth downloading.  After all, the games may be free, but your time is valuable!

If u had a vita there was no need for this

The games scale up to a large TV far better than any previous handheld has done previously. Sometimes its nice to take you save from your Vita and put it over to the PS TV to carry on. I just wish they would make all content PS TV compatible without the hack. There are some crazy omissions on the (official) compatibility front.

It was patched away, so do that trick before you update.

It remains even after updates, so make sure you do that before you update.

O.O...now that's crazy useful.

Damn. I updated mine a week ago. Am I screwed?

I ordered one. $36 on amazon was irresistible, especially with that hack. Thanks!

Im not 100%, but I believe it was mentioned in the neogaf thread I linked, as being one of them.

Persona 4: Golden, Persona 4: Dancing All Night, Danganronpa 1 and 2, and Steins; Gate are my suggestions.

Any suggestions on what to do with the thing once it arrives?

My high hopes would be that I can stream my Universal Media Server off the PS4 in the living room to the PS TV in the bedroom and have a complete home theater system running off my laptop.

I'm really not sure I can do that, but I won't mind playing from the bedroom on some lazy Saturday mornings.

Go buy the Corpse Party games off of PlayStation Store.  In fact, buy most any Atlus and XSEED PSP game via digital download from the PlayStation Store, and play them on the VITA on a big screen HDTV.

Well in Golden Abyss there are literally segments where you NEED a touchpad or something else exclusive to the Vita, that's why I ask. If they did end up patching in DS4 support like they said they would maybe it'll end up working. I'll have to look into it more but IIRC the last time I read up, somebody said they played through all the way to a part they literally could not pass.
