EDIT: title is meant to be GAMING, it was the keyboards fault...
I was just reading a thread started by luinil about church goers and started to wonder if many people selected games based on religious, spiritual or moral beliefs? Or is it just the fun or adventure factor of the games that attracts you? I’ve noticed parents seem to shy away from playing violent and demonic games while their kids seem to lap it up! These two differences show quite a visible contrast and it would be interesting to know if this contrast is seen throughout the gaming community. Do you think there’s anything wrong with this difference of appeal (if there proves to be one)? Are our tastes in entertainment, specifically the wanting to simulate the act of killing, spell casting, and demon summoning in video games and the glamorising of sin that’s present though out, revealing a slip in our conscience towards a more evil and perverted minded culture?
As far as the act of sin is concerned is simulating it in a video game just as bad as doing it in real life? I bring this up because I know Jesus said that even thinking something is as bad as doing it and doing it when you know it’s wrong puts you in danger of everlasting death.
And the bomb shell… this is for Christians, could you be choosing to sin in games causing you to forfeit your salvation?
Lots of questions! What’s your OPINION!!!
Keep it real guys, dont hate mario, hate the player
