as far as I know european 360 buyers do have the 3 year rrod waranty aswell (many people in german forums are talking about it), but well I don't own one, so I don't know for sure

Europe is never a first day buyer of games, it could apply for price cuts too.

360 will be higher (in Europe anyway, Worldwide depends on America) next posted week, but whether that will hold into the weeks after I don't know.... I'm quite sure it will be a big help for the fight against PS3 for GTAIV unless PS3 also drops. Even if it still loses out in total sales, which it will in Europe, the price cut will help.

@Lafiel: It's possible, the fact that X360 is most popular in UK doesn't have to mean that reaction to price cuts (percentage wise) will be the biggest there. In terms of absolute number no other country will help as much as UK but percentage wise it can be 40% across Europe. However I don't find 40% to be any good result. When Sony included new model and price cut in EU sales (on weekly basis) went up around 150%.

I think we'll see a nice boost next week. All MS needs to do is hold their own against Sony for another year and that'll combine with the Wii to ensure that Sony has lost it's dominance in every single region this generation.

What I DO want is for the gap between the HD consoles and Wii to close. I don't want Sony uninstalled as dominator just to put another company in their place.

^star craft sounds like a hater of Sony. Sony care more about their customers than both MS and Nintendo. In the past two console generations, Sony had a lot more games than Nintendo. Nintendo games are basically Mario, Mario and more Mario. MS has a monopoly over OS on computers. Good to see that MS is struggling again with X360. Play Station brand sells gaming consoles, Sony delivers to customers.

in my opnion what shams tried to say was that it's +40% for 2 days -> ~ +140% for the week and that across europe (therefore his prediction of 100k) , which I just don't see happening, because other european countries certainly won't see similar percental increases

 I agree with that but the rest not so much.
