EA are Blizzard are probably the only important companies that haven't joined Steam yet. Yes Activision is on Steam, but Blizzard has so much strength on retail market that I'm not sure they would bother putting the games on Steam.

Lucas Arts isn't on Steam also but these days it's not really doing anything on PC, only the older games are worth noting.

UbiSoft isnt either but the way things are looking comapnies are flocking to Valve.  I'm expecting a large amount of publishers putting games on steam in the up coming months.

Blizzard would be awesome on Steam.

360 IS OPERATIONAL AFTER 37 DAYS!

Activision and Blizzard are the same company... Blizzard's games aren't on Steam yet, but don't be surprised if Starcraft 2 launches on Steam too. Activision has expressed great satisfaction with their Steam sales of Call of Duty 4.

Epic was really the last great barrier. EA, Ubisoft, and any other stragglers will fall into place very quickly now. This is really huge news.

Yeah I just noticed Epic on Steam! :D
Steam is so awesome! I just bought Garry's Mod and inside 15 minutes I was playing it, no discs or wait. Just awesome!

I'm not that big on computing FPS so not that familiar with Steam. Whats the benefit of being on steam vs general retail?

Is it just piracy or are there other benefits?
