Well that's sort of what was going on with Ready at Dawn, until they made the Order. . .
And the remaster will get praised by the critics since there won't be no ( - Exclusive to Vita ) minus points.

RAD had almost full creative control over their titles, they made the art, level design, and more importantly the writing (Ghost of sparta = best GOW writing). Bluepoint has done 0 creative work, it's all just 1s and 0s for ports/remasters. Which is why Sony shouldn't use them for anything more than this.

It will actually be the opposite as has been the norm for most handhled titles brought to console (RE:Revelation, AC:Liberation, Tearaway). I'm like 90% sure the game will review worse.
Hopefully 2 fixes the shallow gameplay of the first
