Probably because they're deemed harder to make and larger in scale so it is harder to maintain a high quality throughout the game. GTA V doesn't have any of the same problems. The world is filled with stuff to do, missions are varied and interesting, there are a lot of side missions and the game is generally a very high quality game.


Sorry for the late responce. I'm refering to the fact journalists don't mention the issues with open world games. Not saying that the issues are the same. Nor am I saying GTAV is a bad game. It's a very good game. But there are issues nobody dares to mention.
